Effy Jewelry will hold in-person interviews in São Paulo as the company searches for new employees for its growing shipboard retail operation.
The recruitment event is scheduled for October 23 and 24, 2026.
Effy said its Global Talent Acquisition Team will interview candidates for positions in jewelry and retail sales, beauty, watches, port shopping and store leadership.
The company is seeking applicants with strong English skills, a confident and professional presence and an interest in creating memorable experiences for cruise guests.
Cruise Retail Academy separately announced a São Paulo career event on the same dates, promoting opportunities in nearly identical retail categories.
The academy said applicants should be Brazilian citizens with valid passports and must be available to attend both days. Candidates with more than two years of luxury retail or previous cruise retail experience are preferred, while valid C1/D visas and STCW certificates would be considered an advantage.
Effy says it operates more than 150 boutiques aboard ships belonging to 11 major cruise lines. Its onboard teams introduce passengers to fine jewelry, watches, beauty products and other luxury categories.
For successful candidates, working aboard a cruise ship will involve considerably more than conventional store sales.
Shipboard retail employees work with guests from many countries, meet sales targets, maintain product displays, manage valuable inventory and participate in safety duties as members of the ship’s crew.
Employees must also adjust to contracts lasting several months, shared accommodation and working schedules that change depending on whether the ship is at sea or in port.
Effy was established in New York in 1979 and remains known for colorful gemstones and handcrafted jewelry. The company operates land-based stores as well as boutiques at sea and authorized retail locations.
The São Paulo event provides Brazilian retail professionals with an opportunity to meet recruiters directly instead of relying entirely on online applications.
Candidates should prepare a CV in English, review their previous sales results and be ready to explain how they have handled demanding customers, achieved targets and worked as part of a team.
Applicants should use the registration link published through Effy Jewelry or Cruise Retail Academy and verify all recruitment communication through official company channels.
