After more than a year since the suspension of cruising in the U.S. Royal Caribbean International announced another big comeback with the cruise line's return to Alaska this summer season. The company plans to launch its popular Alaska itineraries with 7-night cruises – roundtrip from Seattle – on board Serenade and Ovation of the Seas, starting July 19 and August 13, respectively.
Over 200 crew members currently on board the cruise ship Majestic Princess received COVID-19 vaccinations at the Port of Los Angeles World Cruise Center. In partnership with The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, Ports America, and Metro Cruise Services, Ambulnz administered 221 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Royal Caribbean International has canceled Odyssey of the Seas cruises from Israel scheduled for this summer from Haifa to Cyprus and Greece. The cruise ship Carnival Sensation arrived today in Mobile, Alabama for crew vaccinations. Royal Caribbean International changed the health and safety protocols onboard Quantum Of The Seas sailing out from Singapore, reports Singapore Cruise Society. Yesterday morning the crew of the cruise ship MSC Meraviglia received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Port Miami. Captain Francesco Di Palma and around 90 crew members currently on board, were vaccinated with the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. The general atmosphere on board is great as all crew were eager to get the vaccine. The vaccination cards are with the ship doctor who will update the crew when they will receive the second dose.
