Royal Caribbean Will Evacuate its Employees on Enchantment of the Seas

Sep 07, 2017

The massive Category 5 Hurricane Irma continues to move towards South Florida, where it could deliver a devastating blow. Before it hits Florida, Royal Caribbean International will evacuate Miami Corporate Office employees on one of their cruise ships.

Due to the cancellation of the following itinerary, Enchantment of the Seas will set sail out of Miami tomorrow, Friday, September 8th, with the HQ employees and their families.  The ship is scheduled to depart at noon just before Port of Miami shuts down for the weekend. In order to provide a secure getaway for their employees, Royal Caribbean Enchantment of the Seas will sail to calm seas and return once the Port of Miami reopens.

"We're gonna sail out of Miami on Friday morning and have a few sea days far away from the storm. The voyage has been canceled for guests! Things will be all good here. The captain and resident meteorologist have the best interest of everyone on board" reports one crew member aboard Enchantment of the Seas.
