Cunard today laid the keel for its new ship, the 3,000-passenger Queen Anne, at the Fincantieri shipyard in Venice. Captain Inger Klein Torhauge first welded the ceremonial coin into the keel before a massive crane pulled the center section of the Queen Anne into place next to the new ship's superstructure.
MSC Cruises in collaboration with Qatar Airways, announced that the christening ceremony of the new flagship of MSC Cruises, MSC World Europa, will be held on 13 November in Doha, the capital of Qatar, at the new Grand Cruise Terminal.

Crew Center received a message from a crew member saying that masks are now optional for the crew in the crew areas. The crew member said that the loosening of the mask requirements in the crew areas is now implemented aboard Ovation of the Seas.
Azamara has announced that it will no longer require guests to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 after December 1st.
The new rule applies to any Caribbean or European sailing unless the destination requires vaccination.

Royal Caribbean International announced that the company has hired 10,000 new crew members since the start of this year, who have already joined the cruise ships in operation.
