MSC Cruises has just supercharged its future fleet with the announcement of two additional World-class ships set to arrive in 2030 and 2031. The big news dropped during a celebration at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, where MSC also marked two major construction milestones: the float-out of MSC World Asia and the coin ceremony for MSC World Atlantic.
The fresh €3.5 billion order pushes MSC Cruises’ total investment in four France-built ships this year to nearly €7 billion.
Construction on ships 7 and 8 will kick off in 2029, adding to a powerful lineup of World-class vessels known for their futuristic layouts, themed neighborhoods, and innovative onboard experiences. These ships are built to feel like destinations in their own right, with fresh concepts, designs, and endless options for entertainment, and relaxation.
The World-class family already includes MSC World Europa (2022) and MSC World America (2025). Coming next are MSC World Asia (2026) and MSC World Atlantic (2027), with four more ships—World 5, 6, 7, and 8—scheduled through 2031. The newest orders remain subject to standard financing approval.
