In a ceremonial handover at the Sestri Ponente shipyard, Fincantieri officially delivered Oceania Allura, the latest addition to the Oceania Cruises fleet. The 68,000-gross-ton vessel is the second in the Allura class, following the delivery of sister ship Oceania Vista in 2023, and further underscores Oceania’s position in the premium cruise segment.
The delivery ceremony was attended by key figures from both Fincantieri and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd., including Pierroberto Folgiero, CEO and Managing Director of Fincantieri; Luigi Matarazzo, General Manager of Fincantieri's Merchant Ships Division; Harry Sommer, President & CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd.; and Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer of NCLH.
At 246 meters in length with accommodations for 1,200 guests in 600 staterooms, Oceania Allura embodies the brand’s dedication to refined design, elevated culinary offerings, and immersive destination experiences. The ship’s interiors blend opulence and comfort, offering a reimagined take on Oceania’s hallmark small-ship luxury.
The launch of Allura comes as part of a broader strategic fleet expansion for Oceania Cruises. The brand has committed to four next-generation ships, with deliveries slated between 2027 and 2035. Construction is already underway at Fincantieri’s Marghera yard on Oceania Sonata, the first in the new Sonata class. Set to debut in 2027, the 1,390-passenger vessel will be followed by sister ship Oceania Arietta in 2029.
