Azamara Cruises has confirmed that Azamara Onward will enter a two-week drydock in November 2027 as part of its fleetwide Azamara Forward enhancement program.
The update follows an earlier announcement that Azamara Quest will be the first ship to undergo the extensive refurbishment, marking the cruise line’s largest upgrade initiative to date.
The Azamara Forward program focuses on improving guest experience through upgraded accommodations, dining, and onboard spaces. Planned enhancements for both ships include redesigned nightlife venues, a new Chef’s Table concept, an updated Discoveries Restaurant, and a refreshed Atlas Bar. The Cabaret Lounge will also be fully transformed, while staterooms, suites, and public areas across the ship will receive upgrades.
While Azamara Quest will gain a new Penthouse Deck as part of its refit, this feature will not be included on Azamara Onward.
Following its drydock, Azamara Onward is scheduled to debut its new features on November 25, 2027, with a seven-night Italy Intensive voyage sailing from Athens to Rome. Bookings for the cruise are set to open on April 7, 2026.
After its relaunch, the ship will continue operating in the Mediterranean before repositioning to the Caribbean later in the season.
Azamara Cruises added that details on drydock schedules for Azamara Journey and Azamara Pursuit will be announced at a later stage.
