Dominique Gamba, one of Royal Caribbean Group’s most experienced food and beverage leaders, has announced his departure after a career spanning more than three decades.
Known among crew members and guests simply as “Dom,” Gamba most recently served as Senior Director of Food and Beverage Operations at Royal Caribbean International. His responsibilities included overseeing operations across 29 ships and more than 450 dining venues.
Throughout his remarkable career, Gamba helped shape the culinary experience aboard many ships while inspiring thousands of hospitality professionals with his passion, charisma and approachable leadership. For many who worked alongside him, he became a true legend within the company.
Gamba shared the news in LinkedIn post, thanking the executives, colleagues and crew members who accompanied him throughout his journey.
“After so many unforgettable years with Royal Caribbean Group, my heart is full,” Gamba wrote. “This is not an ending. Just a pause in the journey, and I truly believe our paths will cross again.”
He did not disclose the reason for his departure or provide details about his next professional move. Royal Caribbean Group has not yet issued a public announcement regarding his departure.
Over the years, he worked across Celebrity Cruises, Azamara and Royal Caribbean International. He helped establish restaurant operations aboard numerous new ships and contributed to service procedures used throughout Celebrity and Azamara’s dining venues.
