Roberto Idos, Carpenter Supervisor aboard Adventure of the Seas, has been named Royal Caribbean’s 2025 Fleet Employee of the Year in the Back of House category.

Idos was away caring for his daughter when the award was originally announced. Royal Caribbean formally celebrated his achievement after he returned to the ship.

Although much of his work takes place away from guests, his contribution can be seen throughout the vessel. His responsibilities include maintaining and improving shipboard areas, supporting daily operations and helping create safe and functional spaces for both guests and crew.

Colleagues know Idos for his humility, kindness and willingness to assist others. He has also been recognized for supporting and mentoring fellow crew members.

The award highlights the important work performed by employees whose roles may not always be visible but remain essential to the operation of a cruise ship.
