A Filipino crew member working onboard Holland America Line cruise ship ms Amsterdam was reported missing. The 35-year-old man was last seen on Thursday at around 6 p.m. while the ship was sailing Sitka Sound, Alaska. His disappearance was reported at 7:45 p.m. by the crew after he did not show up for a work shift. The crew made extensive searches onboard the vessel of all public areas and facilities but they couldn’t find the missing man.

A crew member on board the Cunard’s ocean liner Queen Mary 2 was evacuated due to a medical emergency and transported to a hospital on Friday evening.

The Italian Coast Guard performed a rescue operation on Tuesday morning near Porto Torres, Sardinia, and made safe transshipment for medical evacuation of a 28-year-old Brazilian crewmember. The crew member was suffering symptoms of appendicitis and needed urgent medical attention on land. Therefore the crew of the Holland America Line's cruise ship MS Oosterdam notified Coast Guard watchstanders that they need medical evacuation assistance.
