Mercedes-Maybach is best known for ultra-luxury cars, but now the iconic brand is setting its sights on the ocean. The company has revealed plans to enter the ultra-luxury yacht and cruising market with an ambitious new concept called the Maybach Ocean Club, designed for those who want the very best at sea.
At the center of the project is Beyond Horizons, a 155-meter superyacht developed with luxury marine specialists Splendid Sea and German naval architects Dölker + Voges. Set to begin voyages around 2029, this vessel isn’t meant to be a traditional cruise ship — it’s a private, members-only experience designed to feel more like a floating private club than a commercial cruise.
A Members-Only Experience
Instead of selling tickets, the Maybach Ocean Club will operate on a membership model. Only 300 co-owners will be invited to join, making the experience intimate and highly personalized. Members can spend up to four weeks per year onboard, sailing to some of the world’s most beautiful destinations — from the Mediterranean and Caribbean to more remote corners of the Indian Ocean.
Life onboard is all about comfort and freedom. Think private suites, panoramic sea views, top-tier dining, wellness spaces, and plenty of room to relax. There are no fixed cruise schedules here — itineraries are shaped around what members actually want to see and do.
Designed for Comfort, Style, and Space
The Beyond Horizons yacht reflects everything Mercedes-Maybach stands for. Inside, the design focuses on spacious layouts, refined details, and a calm, elegant atmosphere. Communal areas feel exclusive yet welcoming, while the exterior blends sleek modern lines with practical ocean-ready performance.
To make the experience even smoother, the Ocean Club will also use a support vessel to handle logistics and additional amenities. From beach clubs and spa treatments to curated cultural events, the idea is to create an experience closer to a private luxury resort than a typical cruise.
