The Onboard cruise ship medical department usually consists of two doctors and anywhere from two to six nurses, depending on vessel size, number of passengers and crew and medical facilities board.
Ship Doctors and nurses are employed directly by the cruise line or through of recruiting companies.
 All of the medical staff are certified. All the doctors and nurses enjoy the individual accommodation privilege not shared cabin with someone else, and can bring a spouse, another family member or a bride aboard the cruise ship.

Cruise Ship Nurse
The paramedic is part of the medical team on board a cruise ship and works closely with nurses and experienced doctors. The head nurse spends his reports to the Medical and exchange information with the responsible physician Fleet in line headquarters cruise.

Nurse / Paramedic

Job Requirements:. Paramedics recorded with a minimum of 2 years of professional paramedic or nursing experience Ship nurse is an experienced registered nurse (RN) the responsibility to provide health care in the appropriate day-to-day for passengers and members crew aboard the cruise ship. Nursing reports and works under the direction of Chief Nurse Board, ship's doctor and chief medical officer of the ship. She (e) is the first to be called in case of onboard medical emergency performing the care first aid until the arrival of the ship's doctor in order, professional, efficient, quiet. 

During the shift work routine, and during a crisis, increased workload or emergency situations. Starts nursing intervention for non-urgent patients such as applying ice, bandages, splints and bandages, calculates the correct dosage and administering medication as the doctor's prescription. Also assist the physician with procedures, treatments, document nursing interventions, observations and configures treatment rooms, ensure that emergency equipment is working properly.
They act together with other crew members when required ask to get wheel chair, takes it to the passenger cabin and bring him to the medical center.
