March, 2020 was the last time a vessel on a regular cruise call visited the stunning beaches of St. Maarten. That means 12th of October, 2021, when Carnival Freedom docked the port with 1,700 passengers was a day of celebration, a day when officially Carnival Cruise Line returns to cruising to the island.

South Africa cruise tourism to resume in November, 37 cruise ships expected

Costa Toscana starts sea trials

Costa Cruise’s latest LNG-powered XL-class ship Costa Toscana, headed out to sea trials on Monday, Finland-based shipbuilder Meyer Turku said. During the sea trials the ship’s operations and equipment will be tested for a little over a week, after returning back to the shipyard, the shipyard added. Assisted by the tugs, the ship left Meyer Turku while the event was witnessed by a large number of people gathered on nearby shores.

DCL Altering Disney Wonder Itinerary Due to Tropical Storm Pamela

October 13, 2021 was supposed to be the day for Disney Wonder’s stop in the port of Cabo San Lucas, but the tropical depression, expected to become Tropical Storm Pamela in the Pacific Ocean affected the itinerary and forced the ship to make a last-minute change and replace the port with a stop in Ensenada. 

Holland America Line Returns to West Coast Cruising with Ms Koningsdam

Holland America Line marked the return to the US West Coast cruises with the first sailing on the Ms Koningsdam from San Diego on October 10. The first guests were greeted by Captain Steve MacBeath; and Gus Antorcha, President of Holland America Line with Waving flags, cheering crew members and a "Welcome Home" sign as they boarded ms Koningsdam at the Port of San Diego.

Belfast welcomes 1000th Cruise ship call with the arrival of MS Queen Elizabeth

 The arrival of Cunard’s ship MS Queen Elizabeth in Belfast on Thursday morning marked an important milestone for the port and the city, welcoming the 1,000th cruise ship call. Belfast resumed cruise tourism in June this year, with UK-only itineraries and, to date, the arrival of the luxury ocean liner Queen Elizabeth is the 66th cruise call to the port of Belfast in 2021.
