Three Princess Cruises crew members were arrested on Wednesday afternoon at the cruise terminal Canada Place in Vancouver. The police together with Canada Border Services Agency officers boarded the cruise ship Island Princess, and after searching the vessel arrested three crew members for possession of narcotics, reports CTV News. The arrested crew member, all Nicaragua nationals have been identified as 26-year-old Emil Arthur Hebbert Garth, 28-year-old Willard Bryan Murray Brooks, and 32-year-old Jason William West Carter will face charges of narcotics possession.

Yesterday they were represented at an Immigration and Refugee Board hearing by duty counsel, who did not argue for their release. They will spend at least another week in jail after CBSA said they’re a security risk under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.

Princess spokesman said the company has zero tolerance policy for drugs and the employees will be terminated from their jobs.  The company didn’t release the job positions of the crew members.
