Costa Cruises has announced the deployment for the summer season 2017 - 2018 of their cruise ship Costa Fascinosa to Montevideo as a home port of embarkation. Costa Cruises inaugurated the summer season 2016-2017 in Argentina with the arrival of Costa Pacifica, with 11 departures from the port of Montevideo, marking an important presence and commitment in the cruise market in Uruguayan.

Costa Pacífica is one of the company most elegant ships build in 2012 with 1,504 cabins, five restaurants, one of the largest spa on board with 6,000 square meters, four swimming pools, theater, casino, and nightclub.

The departures from Montevideo will offer three-night cruises to Buenos Aires and Punta del Este, eight nights cruises to Buenos Aires, Ilhabela, Angra Dos Reis, Buzios and Río de January, and the final South American voyage of 20-nights transatlantic itinerary visiting the best beaches in northeastern Brazil and ending in Europe. The season began on December 17 and runs through February 22.
