Keeping spirits high: Anthem of the Seas Repatriates Indian Crew Members

May 26, 2020

Being onboard a cruise ship during this pandemic has not been without challenges, especially for the crew who were eagerly waiting to return home to their loved ones. The bigger the ship the greater the challenges especially for one of the world’s largest cruise ships, Anthem of the Seas. However Anthem of the Seas management team proved to be on top of all challenges ahead by showing true care for each and every crew member aboard.

The ship is sailing one of the largest repatriation mission’s to return 3200 Indian crew back home, sailing from Miami across the Atlantic ocean with technical to Gibraltar and Athens and passing thru the Sues Canal. The entire team has one mission and that’s to bring the crew back home safely and at the same time making the most of it by keeping moral high, helping crewmembers in whatever way they can.

"We learnt that managing this unexpected situation can be done only by a true A-Team who works hand in hand in one direction every day and that direction is; Forward. Kudos to Anthem team!!! Who are currently involved in a historic never seen before crew repatriation operation; it’s the biggest in the world to date with more than 3000 crew-members onboard; sailing from Miami to India." said the Chief Security Officer, author of this video, and also creator of the CruiSea socializing app for cruise ship Guests and Crew.

This amazing video was created with some shots from the ship to ship transfers of the Indian crew in CocoCay, and the second part with the Indian dance and music the team practiced only 30 minutes after they put it together on the helideck.

We wish each and every crew member currently onboard Anthem of the Seas a safe voyage to India and soon to be reunited with their families and friends.
